World War 2 Day

Owl Class World War 2 Day

Hitchin museum visited school on Tuesday to deliver a WWII workshop to Owl Class. The children had a fantastic experience handling real artefacts, looking at rationing and experiencing life for children during this time. The children said:
“I enjoyed milking the cow. I didn’t realise it was so difficult. I had to pull and squeeze at the same time.” Jessie Canham Year 3 “I liked using the gas rattle and looking at the child’s gas mask."
Paddy Halligan Year 3 “It was really good when we made the adverts about how to use them in a “posh voice.”
As always our children were beautifully behaved and respectful.
