Owl Class

World War II workshop

Owl Class had an amazing WWII workshop with Cas Saunders from Hitchin Museum. The children spent the afternoon handling and working real WWII artefacts. They acted out a public information film using the artefacts. The children learnt how to milk a cow and put out a fire using a stirrup pump. The children had a wonderful time learning new knowledge of WWII for their topic this term.
The children said...
'An amazing time looking at the WWII objects.' - Jake
'I didn't realise the medic helmet was so heavy.' - Aayush
'I handled a real shell!' - Riley
'It was hard work trying to milk the cow.' - Erin
'When we pumped the water outside it went so far up in the air.' - Ethan
'We looked at a real gas mask.' - Filip
