Roman Day

Owl Class

Firstly, thank you so much for all the fantastic effort in providing costumes for the Roman day, the children all looked fantastic! We had an amazing day and the children definitely had a great time. We made paper mosaics, Roman torcs, and laurel headbands. The children practised lots of marching with their shields and even tried a battle re-enactment. The children’s favourite part was probably the Roman Feast. We tried olives, hummus and pitta bread, feta cheese, dates, and apples dipped in honey, all washed down with grape juice to simulate wine. The children were so excited but well behaved and it was great fun. We are now looking forward to our visit from Herts Museum next Thursday.
