Verulamium

Owl class school trip

Owl Class had a fabulous day at Verulamium on Wednesday. They met at Harlington station and travelled to St Albans by train. On arrival, they used maps of the local area to navigate their way to the Verulamium site. The children were able to identify all of the symbols on the map as we passed various landmarks on our journey. The children looked at all of the exhibits in the museum and took part in an artefact workshop. As usual, the children were very well behaved and lived the values throughout the day. Members of the public and the museum staff commented on their wonderful behaviour and manners. Thank you to Mrs Puddiphatt, Mrs Halligan, Mrs Farley and Mrs Maxen for supporting us with this visit.
These are some of the comments from the children:
Catherine: 'The train was so exciting. I loved going by train and using the maps.'
Matteo: 'I enjoyed dressing up as a Roman slave.'
Richard: ' A really good day. I liked looking in the drawers at all the things they have dug up from Roman times.'
Riley: 'It was brilliant! I really loved going on the train.'
