North Hertfordshire Museum
North Hertfordshire Museum visited the school to deliver a workshop for Dove Class. The children were very excited to learn about 17th Centuary London and the causes of The Great Fire of London. Ikobi was chosen to dress up as a 17th Century Firefighter and we learned that they were employed by insurance companies to put out fires. Without this insurance the firefighter would not help to put out a burning building! The children all enjoyed creating a bucket chain to put out the fire and were shocked to learn how close together the houses had ben built. We finished the session by each creating a broad sheet about the fire
